Jharkhand Information and Library Association (JILA) is a registered professional body formed in Ranchi on 15th April 2007. It was officially registered under the Societies Registration Act 21 of 1860 (Registration No. 921/07-08) on 05th September 2007, with its Headquarters situated in Ranchi. JILA holds deep dedication toward the development of library & information services across Jharkhand, creating a progressive educational and knowledge-driven ecosystem by implementing modern library systems throughout the region.

JILA enables its members to achieve and uphold the highest benchmarks of professional excellence, empowering them to deliver responsive, high-quality library services aligned with modern user requirements. Through regular workshops, national conferences, academic seminars, and professional observances, JILA continuously enhances expertise and advances the field of Library and Information Science (LIS).
